GIBS Virtual Conference

The overarching theme for this year’s GIBS annual conference is "Everything is Connected” and our Featured Speaker, Dr. Linda Booth Sweeney, will be focusing on Systems Thinking. Join us virtually for an opportunity to network, collaborate, and learn. You will hear from our featured speaker and participate in breakout sessions. You'll discover new ideas to further develop your IB Program, learn from IB practitioners, and reflect on your practice. The GIBS Conference is the perfect professional development opportunity for heads of schools, coordinators, teachers, and district and school board officials to promote best practices in the Northeast region. 

Registration Fees

Member Fees

  • Regular (December 1st - January 21st): $75 
  • Late (January 22nd - February 3rd): $100  

Non-Member Fees 

  • Regular (December 1st - January 21st): $125
  • Late (January 22nd - February 3rd): $150

    Payments:  Conference fees must be paid prior to February 4, 2022 or a PO received prior for payment. Payment options include credit card.

    Refunds:  Registration fees will not be refunded, but a school may send a substitute up to February 1, 2022.

    Featured Speaker

    Dr. Linda Booth Sweeney is a whole-systems learning pioneer, author and founder of The Toggle Group. Through the Toggle Group, she co-creates experiential learn/do opportunities for people of all ages to see, understand and work with interdependent systems.

    Linda develops a variety of book and multi-media resources to enable learners ages 3-103 to lean into complexity including the PBS Learning Media systems literacy pilot and an augmented reality learning app (in development).  She is the author of The Systems Thinking Playbook (co-authored with Dennis Meadows), Connected Wisdom: Living Stories about Living Systems, When a Butterfly Sneezes and the Climate Change Playbook and has a second career as award-winning children’s book author. In addition to writing and consulting, Linda especially enjoys her works as visiting faculty member, most recently to U.C. Berkeley Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Bridgewater State, Babson College, and OSR/Bainbridge masters program.
