Join us in-person this Fall in Mystic, CT! 

We are excited to announce our first in-person conference since 2019. Fittingly, the overarching theme of the conference is "Better Together: Implementing Effective Teamwork and Collaboration." This focus will provide an invaluable opportunity to network with your IB colleagues from around the region and help you discover new ideas in the development of your Program's Approaches to Teaching & Learning.

Registration includes the following:

  • a keynote from Connie Hamilton
  • a complimentary copy of Connie Hamilton's soon-to-be published book Hacking Group Work
  • three breakout sessions led by IB educators
  • breakout sessions for interested non-IB schools
  • PYP, MYP, CP, and DP program sessions
  • remarks from Senior IB World Schools Manager Melissa Cuculich and Antrina Leeth
  • breakfast and lunch on both days
  • plenty of networking time!

The GIBS Conference is the perfect professional development opportunity for heads of schools, coordinators, teachers, and district and school board officials to promote best practices in the Northeast region.

Registration Fees

       Fees for GIBS Members

    • Early-bird (May 8 - June 15): $450 
    • Regular (June 16 - September 30): $525 
    • Late/Onsight (October 1 - October 23): $600 

       Fees for Nonmembers  

    • Early-bird (May 8 - June 15): $500 
    • Regular (June 16 - September 30): $575 
    • Late/Onsight (October 1 - October 23): $625 

       Fees for Vendors

    • Vendor Registration (1 individual from organization): $750
    • Vendor Registration (Additional Person from Organization): $575

    Refunds/Cancellations

    Refunds will not be given after September 15, 2023.


    If an individual is registered and paid, but now cannot attend, another person may attend in her/his place.


    If payment has not arrived prior to the conference, we requested a PO on arrival or a check for payment at registration.

    We have a block of rooms at the rate of $199/night for October 22 and October 23. This limited number of rooms is available until Friday, October 6.
